I’ve really loved this series Pastor Jon. And when you speak of an orphan heart, I am surprised by how many memories come up of those times other people took credit for what I did, and the pain of not being appreciated- even today! This leads me to reflection with the Lord of the wounds still there in my orphan heart. Thank you for your shepherd’s heart being led by the Holy Spirit. He does love to hit the mark with beautiful truth and exposing places for healing - to make a place for joy. I am thankful.

This is the best definition of joy I’ve heard. https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/the-other-half-of-church-podcast/id1523686686?i=1000487235587

Definitely worth the listen and ties in perfectly to the message of this post.

I have really enjoyed each one in this series. I encourage you, Pastor, to not stop now, you're on a roll with this. Why not write a #4 & #5.... and maybe even a #6 & #7.....lolol... just sayin...

This article went hand in glove with a little 76 page book titled, "Joyful Journey, Listening to Immanuel" it encourages interactive journaling.

I'm only on page 38 because I'm trying to take the time to form the actions it encourages, into habits, as I go.

Yesterday I was reading how to journal from what I can sense Father God's perspective is on my situation. What does He see? What view is God seeing about my surroundings, my actions, what I'm doing, etc.

WOW! It gave me an entirely different perspective, especially whenever I happen to be in a valley of discouragement in that moment!

That in & of itself, was very uplifting!!

He, my Precious Heavenly Father, sees it completely different.... & that helps me interact with Him and grows my relationship even deeper (John 15).

Loved this article. Thank you!!

Blessings,
