I needed to read this again. We listened to this sermon weeks ago and it spoke to me then. This is the season my husband and I are in currently. I found myself just last night telling him that God moves little by little. It’s not on our time but his and while we are in this season it’s a season of growth. We shouldn’t rush to get through it but ask God to show us what we are supposed to be learning during this time and grow from it. Waking up this morning to this email was God telling me that he sees me and he hears me. Thank you Jon, for bringing this much needed word.

Jon, that’s been the story of my life. Our hearts are a type of the Promise Land of our lives. My experiences have been progress by degrees. Little by little eradication one degree at a time of my insecurities, rejection, fears, and all generational dysfunctions. Displacing them in a divine rhythm of God’s loving kindness. The lies and dysfunctions are slowly displaced by Truths and loving order in my heart. Much of the ground taking and growth has required refiners fires and cultivation acre by acre.

I’ve dreamed about supernatural breakthroughs of growth and financial increase, but my Father’s loving kindness knows the healthiest and most advantageous pace for me.

The secret is to never stop hungering and thirsting for His righteousness. Never stopping the pursuit of living and being Gods love. His love has to be our continuous target- our life’s greatest quest. Embracing His Majesty’s processes of refining and cultivating us into the image of His Son, Jesus. There’s no greater and adventurous life than being yoked with Jesus and little by little being transformed into His image with His love and compassion working through us.

So true David.

It applies to his chipping away in us too! Little by Little we are becoming more and more like Christ.

This one hit so sweetly this morning.

God’s plan on all levels has been so much grander than any of the plans I’ve had for myself. Growth… development… ministry within the walls of church & beyond all come in different shapes, sizes & colors. I could not be more grateful for the “kaleidoscope” of Kingdom perspective. AMEN, AMEN & AMEN…

I love the insight that this article brings out! I see evidence of such all around me as I journey with Jesus over time. Things I thought I was ready for in my past, I now see my growth and realize, I, nor the situation was prepared yet, and that makes me full of gratitude for the delay that was acting as a protection around me.

About 7-8 months ago I was praying about a particular situation that I was wanting to move along a little quicker than it was.

The Holy Spirit led my mind to 2 separate passages of scripture. Sometimes, if I can read a passage in 15 minutes, then my mind just assumes that in real life those events happened in 15 minutes, are ya'll like that too, friends?

Daniel 10:12-14 Daniel was praying about something near & dear to his ♥ too. Scriptures says that his prayer was heard on the very first day, however.... there were things happening in the spiritual realm that delayed the physical world evidence of that answer.

Jeremiah 42:7, Jeremiah did as the people requested and asked God for counsel. If I was fleeing all the turmoil as the Israelities were doing in that moment, I sure would be frustrated at waiting TEN DAYS for God's answer!!!! I need it yesterday, if ya'll get my meaning!

Many times in prayer we are assured of the answer,... in the spiritual realm,... we need to walk in faith of that promise. The physical manifestation of that answer, many times comes from a beautiful connection between us and Father God. We join hands with Him in a beautifully syncinized dance of faith and obedience (action) to be HIS hands, HIS feet, HIS mouth, in surrender to HIS way & HIS methods in order to create HIS perfect tapestry in the physical world.

Isn't it a blessing that Father God includes us in the process of answered prayers?!

Blessing,

When I read the title I thought of that teaching you gave several weeks back. We left there in conversation about all that God has done in our lives as a married couple over 33 years yet, little by little. That’s the journey, there isn’t really a destination until the Promised Land. We (I) get in such a hurry to make our dreams a reality that we can’t see how the journey is preparing us in the moment. (Father, slow me down and help me remember Your timing is perfect.) Looking back it’s so clear, they do say hind sight is 20/20. Love your thoughts and heart Pastor Jon.
