Stinking thinking!! Hardest thing I’m finding is that as a leader we have to train and find ways to keep ourselves and our people from thinking that doesn’t a line with Gods word and his promises. We find ourselves trying to look at the situations rather than what the word and the promises say!! Stinking thinking!! I say all the time, “if we are to have faith as small as a mustard seed can move mountains, the enemy can use that same amount of doubt and fear to blow things to the size of a mountain!!
I was listening to Air1 this morning. One of the DJs broughtp out a great point... "David didn't look at the size of Goliath, he looked at the size of his God. Don't speak fear, speak faith!"
I'm digging into a book right now that goes perfectly with Pastor's "Promises" season that i am loving!!. "Fresh Faith" by Jim Cymbala. He brings out the importance of staying focused on God's promises and how incredibly POWERFUL that can be!
You're right, people that focus on what could happen and negative things, drag others down.
Apostle Paul had a thorn in his flesh, (and a past, I might add), YET he said, God's grace was sufficient for him. And he was able to serve God through that weakness.
I recently had someone point out the story of the 12 spies that went into Canaan. What was wrong with the 10 spies' report, ... it was factual??
"This report went against all God had promised, and thus their common-sense realism affected the destiny of a whole generation of Israelitis. The people began to panic and murmur against God."
..."This report of the spies was full of unbelief and spawned deep discouragement among God's people. God was provoked by their distrust"
We can't change someone else's heart, only God and His Word can change a human heart. But there is power in prayer and believing in God's promises!!!
It has recently come to my attention how impactful words of affirmation, words of encouragement, focusing on other's positive attributes, their strengths, their God-given gifts, and making room for that person to feel the confidence in themselves to serve others,... what a change that can create in a person.
12 months ago I took over a large IT infrastructure do a company in Norwich, it had been neglected in the Covid years and people don’t like fixing legacy old rusty IT junk , regulatory and Governance issues were lacking, and a team that had been reduce from 30 to 3, I walked into this and I was well disappointed that with only a team of three we knew that we were being thrown into the furnace!! What’s more my team was off shore and English was their second language...
Yet the Lord my God was with me ... In 9 months he has transformed the team of three in well Just Three, but they have grown in their capabilities and wel they have fixed every single fire that was burning nothing is smouldering and all controls have been met..
What a team of 30 couldn’t do we did it on three, I didn’t press a button..
Jon really enjoying this and look forward to hearing more ...
I'm not in a company right now but I def have a goal that can take me to personally building a company that helps others and homelessness in a cheaper way. I'm more of a Jeremiah rebuilding Jerusalem. But I subscribed cause I have an idea of where God is taking me, I know it's leadership in some form but as of right now Im grateful you built this and gave the opportunity for others to be a part of it, I can see I can learn a lot from this. Thank you
In the context of what I wrote about (ReLeader taking over leading an organization), it is always the ReLeader's responsibility to care for the wounded first. Whether they are the ones who wounded them or whether it was their predecessor. It's about caring for the wounded.
Give me your thoughts...what are the challenges of ReLeadership? What are you facing right now as a ReLeader?

Just some musings....
Love that Rachel. And I'm so glad you're loving Promises!
