It’s the weekend. You might be off the clock—but is your mind still racing?
Leadership rarely stops at the body. You can sit on the couch and still feel worn out—because your mind never clocked out.
Jesus said, “The Sabbath was made for man…” (Mark 2:27). Not just to rest your schedule, but to restore your soul.
Sabbath isn’t just about sleep. It’s about stillness.
So this weekend, don’t just rest your body—rest your mind.
Let the thoughts slow down. Let the pressure lift.
Turn off the voice that’s always solving, always planning, always preparing.
Be still. Be present. Be off—on purpose.
You don’t just need rest.
You need renewal.
Amen & Amen!!!
Father God has been working with me on, "BE STILL, & KNOW that I. AM . GOD ..."
In my Strongs Concordance, 2 of the definitions for "still" is "to quiet oneself" and "to rest in the Almighty."
Kinda, sorta along the lines of the fruits of the Spirit-- self-control, patience, gentleness, kindness, peace, ....
How interesting!
Thank you for sharing your thoughts Pastor!
