When you solve every issue, jump into every fire, and answer every question, you may feel productive—but you’re actually training your team to stop thinking.
They don’t need you to be the hero.
They need you to be a leader.
Empowerment doesn’t happen through delegation alone. It happens when you equip, release, and then resist the urge to step back in.
Today, when someone brings you a problem, don’t offer the solution. Ask,
“What do you think we should do?”
It’s not about having all the answers.
It’s about building people who can find them.
Timely reminder!
Another leader said to me today, “you going to have to let some things fall over so they can see where the gaps are”
I didn’t like hearing it, but I know he was right.
Thanks Jon!
